What are shoppers searching for?
Which search terms lead to impressions and clicks in the seller's categories, and how those terms perform over time.
A reporting module for Amazon sellers that turns Amazon search and catalogue performance data into decisions about which products to list, how to describe them and how to price them.
Amazon Analytics is part of the Xiangyu ERP workspace. Once a seller authorises an Amazon store and switches the module on, Xiangyu ERP requests the Amazon analytics reports available to that seller's account and displays them alongside the seller's own catalogue. The seller does not have to download and reconcile spreadsheets by hand.
Which search terms lead to impressions and clicks in the seller's categories, and how those terms perform over time.
Which of the seller's products customers view and buy in the same shopping session.
How the seller's products are viewed and purchased relative to similar products in the same category.
How often customers purchase the seller's products again within a period.
The Amazon analytics reports read by the module, the Selling Partner API report type requested, and the question each one answers.
| Report | API report type | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Search Query Performance | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_SEARCH_QUERY_PERFORMANCE_REPORT | Search terms in the seller's categories, with impressions, clicks, cart adds and purchases, so the seller can judge demand and how well their listings match it. |
| Search Catalog Performance | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_SEARCH_CATALOG_PERFORMANCE_REPORT | How the seller's own products perform across the funnel for those search terms, so weak stages can be identified. |
| Market Basket Analysis | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_MARKET_BASKET_REPORT | Which of the seller's products are purchased together, so the seller can plan bundles, cross-sell and complementary stock. |
| Item Comparison | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_ITEM_COMPARISON_REPORT | Which products in a category customers view alongside the seller's products, so the seller can benchmark their own listings. |
| Repeat Purchase Behaviour | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_REPEAT_PURCHASE_REPORT | How frequently customers repurchase the seller's products, so the seller can identify consumables and retention opportunities. |
| Search Terms | GET_BRAND_ANALYTICS_SEARCH_TERMS_REPORT | The top search terms in the seller's categories, so assortment and keyword decisions can be prioritised. |
Analytics data is used for one purpose: to give the authorising seller a clearer view of demand and performance for the products they sell, inside their own Xiangyu ERP workspace. Concretely, the seller can:
We have designed Amazon Analytics, and the whole Amazon integration, around the two rules in Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy that matter most for analytics:
Data obtained through the Amazon Services API is not aggregated across sellers' businesses or customers, and is not provided or sold to any party, including other sellers. Each account's analytics are computed only from the data of the seller who authorised access, and no other seller's data is mixed in.
We do not promote, publish or share insights about Amazon's business, and we do not use insights about Amazon's business for our own business purposes. Analytics results stay inside the authorising seller's workspace, and we do not sell or publish derived analytics, benchmark studies or market reports.
Aggregate analytics reports for the authorising seller's account, plus the catalogue and brand identifiers needed to join those reports to the seller's own products.
Buyer names, shipping addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or payment details. The analytics module does not request personally identifiable information about Amazon customers.
Report results needed to show trends over time in the seller's workspace, stored per seller, under the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
Not shared outside the seller's workspace, except with the infrastructure sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy, who process it only on our instructions.
